In the late Friday afternoon, an adult female bird was found in the surroundings of Karlovo by citizens.
Because of her bad condition, the Eagle was rushed into the Rescue Centre’s ambulatory. At first, the position of the body and the clinical signs pointed towards poisoning.
Unfortunately, despite all the effort our team put in, the bird had its last breath two days later. The autopsy revealed the reason for her death – pneumonia and hemorrhagic gastroenteritis.
Just in case samples from internal organs were taken and sent for toxicological analysis, despite the low chance for being positive!
