We released birds in proximity of the Kremikovski monastery “Saint George” next to Sofia city

The tradition says if the middle of August is near than we have to release diurnal birds of prey near the Kremikovski monastery together with residents, guests, followers and friends of the Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Centre.

Since more than 20 years ago the event on the outskirts of Sofia doesn’t stop to fill us with positive energy.

Last Saturday we released twelve birds – two Common Buzzards and ten Common Kestrels.

Some of the birds hatched in the Centre, others recovered and are now in good health and can be released outside the Centre.

We are thankful to everyone involved in the event – you made it even more magical!
