We fed the wild Egyptian vultures near the village of Partizani

30.03.2021
The Green Balkans' team and some of the volunteers, students of veterinary medicine from the Trakia University, brought yesterday over 450 kilograms of food for the wild Egyptian vultures inhabiting the area of the Provadia village Partizani!

The food was left on a feeding site - a specially fenced place.

We are glad to note that the very next day, after feeding, the first Egyptian vulture was spotted in the area of the site. He is not only the first "on the table", but also the first reported for this year, returning from a long journey of migration!

We are constantly aware of what is happening in the area of the feeding site, thanks to the modern video surveillance installed by our team, as part of the preparation for the new breeding season of birds in the area!

Тhe 'Conservation of the Egyptian Vulture in the Balkans' project activity is funded by the Municipality of Prague and the Prague Zoo.
