And the "honor" goes to an especially sweet Common Kingfisher that arrived from Burgas.

A thousand patients are not just a number. Owls, eagles, herons, small songbirds, baby hedgehogs, tortoises, baby bats, storks and all kind of other creatures are part of the large variety of patients of the Rescue center. Their admittance here is a hope for a second chance, and for our team and volunteers it means work, work and more work.

We have helped some, others are yet to receive our help, there are those, who unfortunately left us … What is important is that there is a place like the Rescue center of Green Balkans exists and it plays important role in the survival of species, some of which at the brink of extinction. What is more, the support we receive daily by all of you, by the institutions, media and colleagues shows us that we are on the right track and that we are not alone.

And as for the Common Kingfisher, it, unfortunatel,y has paralysis of the hind limbs. Another tough battle is before us …..
