The second volunteers’ meeting organized within "Green Society in Action" project, funded by the Bulgarian-Swiss Cooperation Program, through “Reform Fund Linked to Civil Society Participation” took place last week.
Some 30 volunteers aged 13 to 45 took part in the event, getting acquainted with Green Balkans’ work, the Wildlife Rescue Center, and the activities implemented within "Green Society in Action" project.
The second day was entirely dedicated to practical exercises such as rendering first aid to wild animals in distress, visiting the Lesser Kestrel Release Module in the village of Levka established within “Lesser Kestrel Recovery” LIFE11 NAT/BG/360 project, watching birds in the wild, and working voluntarily at the Module.
We are happy to see so many young people attracted by the nature conservation idea and volunteering at Green Balkans. We will continue working with them because only then our work will be meaningful, and our deeds - completed.
