Volunteers for the injured wildlife

The team of the of the Green Balkans’ Wildlife rescue and breeding center spent the past working Saturday in the pleasant company of over 20 volunteers, most of whom are employees in ContourGlobal Maritsa East 3 TPP.

The volunteer activity was part of the Volunteer day national campaign – spring 20016, organized by the Bularian Charities and Aid Foundation organization (BCAF) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria (AmCham).
During the campaign in the Center, the volunteers got acquainted with the activities of Green Balkans and in particular the Wildlife rescue and breeding center by the special lecture that our team have prepared.

After that all of them rolled up their sleeves and started working. The job, part of it was not very easy, included improvement of the vision of the visitors’ corner of the Center, cleaning and refreshing of aviaries and equipment, arrangement of the warehouses cleaning and whitewashing of the trees on the entrance.

Finally, the volunteers even had time to get acquainted with some of the most iconic patients of the Center – the Common buzzard Misho, the Tawny owl Luli and the Hobby Hercules and to take photos with them.

We would like to cordially thank our volunteers. We believe that large part of them we can call our friends now!
