Be in the middle of nature and learn something new from it! This is what our little friends from Kukuryak School experienced the past day.

Our team took them to Nature Park Bulgarka and the Devetashka Cave.

One day, in which the children took part in the redirection of young Long-eared owls from the Rescue Centre, to their new temporary home - the adaptation aviary, built especially for this on the territory of Nature Park Bulgarka. The young birds were pre-examined, dewormed, and marked with the Bulgarian Ornithological Centre's rings. Their stay in the wild will allow them to adapt more successfully before being released and embarking on their journey.

The participants in the trip then visited the Devetaska cave. There, Green Balkans experts told them about the region's rich biodiversity and the species they can encounter during their walk in the cave. The young conservationists learned about how vulnerable the fragile cave ecosystem is and how to behave when visiting such sites, both enjoying their beauty and not interfering with its inhabitants.
