More and more wonderful news from the Green Balkans Rescue Centrе! We are full of hatchlings these days and the season is just beginning!
Three are the new inhabitants of the Centre - hatched a few days ago, they are the generation of a Saker Falcon pair inhabiting the Centre's aviaries.
At this moment, the three fluffs are in the incubator and the 'Reintroduction of the Saker Falcon in Bulgaria' project team is taking care of them. This will soon change as the little ones enjoy an enviable appetite, grow rapidly and will be returned to their parents.
As said before, sometimes, to help young parents, we hatch their eggs in incubators. There, the care of the hatchlings continues until their seventh day. After that, being strong enough, we return them to their parents.
With this practice, introduced by our team, we can save a lot more hatchlings and increase the number of released in nature.
The 'Reintroduction of the Saker Falcon in Bulgaria' project is financed by Mohamed Bin Zayed Raptor Conservation Fund and Armeec JSC.
