Two of the birds are young females, while the third one - K7V is a male. All three arrived from Spain late last year and spent the winter at the Wildlife Rescue Centre at Green Balkans - Stara Zagora. In spring we brought them to the adaptation aviary maintained above Sliven within the Vultures Return in Bulgaria LIFE08 NAT/BG/278 Project. After several months of acclimatization, it is already time to set them free in the Balkan Mountains!

The release was a part of the three-day festival Liatna sluchka - Karandila 2014, organized by our friends from Blyan za romantika, cvetya I kosmos between June 27-29th 2014
. The festival is held for a second year, aiming at contemporary forms of art and ways of getting close to nature, combining new and old in search of alternative methods for entertainment and sport and communication.
Hundreds of enthusiasts took part in various workshops, exhibitions, presentations, practices, performances, meetings, challenges, music and dances, games, colours and fire in the open air.

Our Charity shop for nature was also among the festival stands, attended by interns and volunteers of "People FOR nature - Green Society in Action" project of the Wildlife Rescue Centre at Green Balkans - Stara Zagoraq funded by the Bulgarian-Swiss Cooperation Programme.

We are very grateful to the organizers for the great experience, positive emotions, music and friends and we hope that Liatna sluchka (Summer event) becomes a traditional celebration for all!
