Once again, the team of the Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Centre of Green Balkans was a guest of a falconry event, this time held on the premises of the Historical Park near Varna.
At the event, in front of the gathered crowd, our team presented the work of the organisation concerning the return of the saker falcon in Bulgaria - a bird that could not be found breeding in the wild until a few years ago.
The film specially created for the purpose of popularising this difficult work was projected in one of the halls of the Park. During the presentation, representatives from Green Balkans, together with Romeo - a falcon no longer the breeding programme of the Centre, told the audience details, interesting moments and results of our over ten years of work for the species.
Helpers of our team were also some of our volunteers - students in Trakia University doing their internship with us, who were entrusted with the care of the common kestrel Vladko and the common buzzard Misho, which also participated in the event.
