The team of the " Egyptian vulture NEW LIFE" project (LIFE16 NAT/BG/000874) from the Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Centre - Green Balkans has prepared a short report of its activities so far!

Since the summer of 2017, the Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Centre - Green Balkans is part of the large scale international project - " Egyptian vulture NEW LIFE" (LIFE16 NAT/BG/000874), encompassing various activities aimed at the conservation of Egyptian vultures in Bulgaria and along the full migration route of the bird.

The task of our team in this big international challenge is mostly connected to the care for Egyptian vulture pairs, breeding them in captivity, and releasing their offspring with the aim of strengthening the wild population of the species.

At the same time, our team has been involved in the creation of new Egyptian vulture pairs in a number of European zoos, we have taken part in fieldwork, as well in a series of work meetings with partners of the project. All this and more can be found in the attached report for our activities up to July 2019.
