The students’ practical training “Activities and working methods in the conservation NGO Green Balkans” came to an end

The initiative was part of “Students and graduates’ practical training” project of the Ministry of Education and Science.
 
The students’ practical training initiated by Green Balkans involved five students from the Agricultural University – Plovdiv to be trained in “Ecology and environment protection”, “Settlement ecology”, and “Zoo-engineering”. The classes were held in the period July 6th - August 26th, 2015 at Green Balkans’ office in Plovdiv, and the mentor of the students was Assoc. Prof. Dr. T. Bileva from “Ecology and environment protection” department of the Agricultural University.
 
In addition to the overall activity and functioning of the NGO, the participants in the practical training were acquainted with various projects implemented by Green Balkans, including those funded by the LIFE program of the European Union – “Lesser Kestrel Recovery” LIFE11 NAT/BG/360 and “Bright future for Black Vulture in Bulgaria” LIFЕ14 NAT/BG/649. The activities implemented by Green Balkans’ Wildlife Rescue Center, where students’ practical training is also taking place within the project of the Ministry of Education and Science, were presented as well.
