The boys and girls from the Thracian University organized the cleaning at the end of last week. The initiative was combined with installing bird houses and cleaning the vulture supplementary feeding site, maintained by Green Balkans within the Vulutres Return in Bulgaria LIFE08 NAT/BG/278 Project. At the same time, the interns transported the last Griffon Vulture K6W, which had remained for rehabilitation but is now considered suitable to enjoy its new home - Central Balkan.
The enthusiastic organizers shared that as the action advanced, it was joined by random campers and tourists.
The young naturalists prepared special signboards, containing various messages for the visitors. This way the area is now richer in nature-messages and advice on how to care for nature.
Towards the end of the first day, the students released 10 Long-eared Owls, a Tawny Owl and a Long-legged Buzzard. These birds were raised and treated in the Rescue Centre with their help, so the good-bye was even more emotional.
At the end of the two-day action, a trailer full of trash left the meadow at Tuzha.
While the message of the young people is hopefully clear for everyone!
