The pairs of Lesser Kestrels in the Green Balkans’ Rescue Centre can show a newly hatched young.
Just days after the first chick for the year was hatched in the “Lesser Kestrel Recovery” LIFE11 NAT/BG/360’s Module in Levka village, the Rescue Centre may show some hatched chicks. They are just 6 for two pairs, in total of 90 eggs for 18 pairs in the whole colony. This, however will not be the case in just few short days. The proportion of newly hatched and eggs will quickly turn in the formers’ favour.
We, of course, hope, that all eggs will produce white and fluffy chicks. Only time will tell if this is going to be the case. Nonetheless the team is preparing for the upcoming baby season, filled with lots of emotions, but also work and labour from dawn till dusk.
А както и предходните години, всички излюпени малки ще бъдат маркирани и освободени в Модула за адаптация и освобождаване на белошипи ветрушки в село Левка, от където ще започнат своя нов път – пътят на завръщането на белошипите ветрушки в България.
All the hatched chicks will be marked and released in the Lesser Kestrels’ Adaptation and Release Module in Levka village, just like in previous years, from where, they will take on a new road – the road of the return of the Lesser Kestrel in Bulgaria
