The adaptation aviaries set up by the team of the 'Reintroduction of the Saker Falcon in Bulgaria' project will again be a temporary home for the young birds.
The official guest of the event was the mayor of the Malko Kadievo village - Tenyo Tenev, in whose person we, from the Green Balkans, have always had a friend and partner. He helped our team accommodate all five little ones by promising to give them names a little later!
Three of the hatchlings were hatched at the Rescue Centre, and the other two were taken from a hatchery to diversify the genes of the released falcons.
Every day the field associates of the project will visit the area of the adaptation aviaries, will feed the young, and will monitor their condition. And, with the help of video surveillance cameras installed in and around the hack, our team will monitor the little ones in their new home around the clock.
The 'Reintroduction of the Saker Falcon in Bulgaria' project is financed by Mohamed Bin Zayed Raptor Conservation Fund and Armeec JSC.
