This year, the two pairs of Barn Owls at the Green Balkans Rescue Centre laid a total of 12 eggs! From all of them, for now, we have one hatchling, and we look forward to seeing his brothers and sisters!
Both couples are very good and diligent parents. Every year they delight us with their own generation. We are very proud of them because despite the traumas they have suffered and do not allow their return to the wild, they do not cease to amaze us with their love and dedication to the little owls!
These birds are very special to us. Each year they support the activities of the Rescue Centre, taking care of their own hatchlings and the orphaned ones, too. They give them the parental love and attention they need, as well as give them the knowledge and skills to survive in the wild!
