Today, at the end of the school year, the students from the ‘Hristo Botev’ primary school in Brestovitsa visited the Green Balkans Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Center in Stara Zagora.
80 children from different ages visited the Rescue Center and learned about our work there. We had prepared a presentation about our work with wild species, their rehabilitation and release.
Since May is month of the Natura 2000 network we talked about the ecological network and its importance as well as the rare species it protects in our country. With the video surveillance at the Center all children could observe the different inhabitants and see how they take care of their chicks.
Thank you to all teachers who helped us in our mission to teach children more about wildlife!
The event is part of the Green Balkans'National campaign celebrating the European Natura 2000 Day. Green Balkans is celebrating the Natura 2000 day with a series of events in May - Month of the Natura 2000 ecological network.
