Yesterday 61 Lesser Kestrels were examined by veterinarian specialist and the “Lesser Kestrel Recovery” LIFE11 NAT/BG/360 project team in the Wildlife Centre.
The examination included trimming of beaks and talons, internal and external parasite prophylactics, weighing and clinical status of the birds. We are happy to say that, in spite of the active breeding season, all Lesser Kestrels were in great clinical health.
During the hard work of doctors and rehabilitators, the rest of the team were hard on working in sanitizing and cleaning of the cages and aviaries, home of our feathered friends.
This year 88 Lesser Kestrels in total were hatched in the Green Balkans’ Wildlife Centre. All of them were released into the nature.
