The Pair of Griffon Vultures at the Green Balkans' Rescue Center at the Beginning of Another Breeding Season
30.11.2021The pair of Griffon Vultures at the Rescue Center of Green Balkans is preparing for the new mating period for another year. The construction of the nest is in full swing, and the first copulations are already being observed.
We have no doubts about the parenting skills of the birds of this pair, as two years in a row, they have already successfully hatched and raised their young. Last year they even got two hatchlings, which is a real achievement for Griffon Vultures. The female is expected to lay by the end of the year, so she is now taking extra care in arranging the nest. The male, on the other hand, in order to help her, supplies her with perches every day, which he places on the nesting platform.
We continue to follow this love story, and you keep your fingers crossed for luck!
