23.05.2023The “Natura 2000 in Bulgaria – New Horizons” Project archived great success and recognition by winning the European Commission's Naruta 2000 Award 2022.
The Bulgarian information project "Natura 2000 in Bulgaria: New Horizons", implemented by Green Balkans in partnership with Darik Radio, Dnevnik, Capital and Hobby TV, won the Natura 2000 Award in Communication category. This high-profile communication initiative, funded by the EU's LIFE programme, seeks to raise awareness of the Natura 2000 network in Bulgaria, using flagship species and habitats to inform about key aspects of Natura 2000.
The event will take place in Muzeiko - Sofia, on 27 May 2023, 18:00h.
Program:
13:00 - 14:00 - a short award ceremony for distinguished stakeholders with a contribution to the project and the award
14:00 - 18:00 - presentation of the organizations
Our colleagues from the Better Life for Lesser Kestrel in South-East Balkans LIFE19 NAT/BG/001017 Project will also take part in the event with the artistic exhibition "The Big Return" 2, which includes a series of scientific illustrations, paintings, graphics, digital paintings and other mixed techniques paintings, made by members of Дружество на анималисти, флористи и научни илюстратори – ДАФНИ!
Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the photo exhibition "HOME" - in the embrace of the bulgarian mountains by the photographer Ivan Hristov, as well as two more photo exhibitions of Green Balkans with photos by Emil Enchev - Natura 2000 in Bulgaria and an exhibition of 10 realistic life-sized models of protected species, made by Nikolay Todorov - Art Model.
