Today the ‘NATURA 2000 in Bulgaria - NEW HORIZONS’ - LIFE17 GIE/BG/371 project team presented the Green Balkans Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Center activities in front of the children from the ‘Sveti Nikola’ IV primary school preschool group in Stara Zagora.

The young nature lovers were enthusiastic to learn more about the work at the Rescue Center, what it is like to take care of wildlife and what they can do if they find an injured bird or a lost baby bird. We told the kids about the biggest threats to nature and wildlife, we talked about poaching and what we can all do to live in harmony with our wildlife neighbors.

Our ambassadors, the stationary patients at the Rescue Center - Vladko and Misho, were once again with us to teach children about the harmful practices we should all avoid.

We are very happy to have the opportunity to teach children to be sympathetic to wildlife from young age and to take care of nature all around us.
