On November 3 and 4, Green Balkans participated in a Scientific Conference in RIM, Pleven, dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the creation of the "Nature" department.
The conference was attended by representatives of various museum institutions, university professors, representatives of nature protection organizations, who presented their work related to museum work and biodiversity protection.
A team of Green Balkans presented its joint work with museums related to the promotion of nature protection. Dr. Rusko Petrov, manager of the Green Balkans Wild Animal Rescue Center and PhD student in Veterinary Medicine toward the Trakia University, as well as specialists from the Center presented topics related to the intentional killing of individuals or the theft of young and eggs from nature for the purpose of preparation for museums on the territory of Bulgaria.
After the conference, Lucy Djakovska presented the activities of the "I am Kailaka" Foundation for the restoration of Kailaka Park near Pleven. We were very impressed with the huge amount of work they put into making the park look like this.
We congratulate the "Nature" Department at RIM Pleven on the anniversary and wish them many more years of inspiration for work!
