The Lesser Kestrels in the Wildlife Centre are in great shape and good health

15.09.2016
Yesterday was the second day of the planned preventive examination of the forty, in total, Lesser Kestrels, leaving in the Green Balkans’ Wildlife Rehabilitation and Rescue Centre.

The “Lesser Kestrel Recovery” LIFE11 NAT/BG/360 project team and the veterinarians have examined all the Lesser Kestrel in the Centre. Despite the recent arduous, for the birds, breeding season, all of them were in good shape and great help. Our team did not mist, of course, to fix some of our feathered friends’ pedicure, and everyone, no exceptions, were relieved from parasites both internal and external.

During the time when part of the team was busy with the birds, other used the time to clean disinfect the aviaries, the home of the feathered friends. Some ropes, the Lesser Kestrels’ favorite resting spot, were replaced, as well as part of the landing posts’ planking

Part of the wiring and video cameras for the aviary surveillance were replaced.

Така белошипите ветрушки в Спасителния център на Зелени Балкани са готови да посрещнат зимата.

And so the Lesser Kestrels in Green Balkans’ Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Centre are ready for the winter.
