Our joy is great, of course, bringing even more excitement to the Easter holidays. Although the pair is young, as it was established last year, our expectations are great.
We expect more eggs to appear in the nest in the coming days. We believe that the other twenty pairs at the Rescue Center will also do a great job.
The birds were imported from Spain last year within the breeding program of “Lesser Kestrel Recovery” LIFE11 NAT/BG/360 project, implemented with the support of the LIFE program of the European Union.
Hopefully, this year we will secure birds that are “made in Bulgaria” – hatched and raised at the Rescue Center, to supplement the group of the Lesser Kestrels that were imported from Spain and released in Sakar.
