The Griffon Vulture Chick is Now with its Parents

A week after hatching, the Griffon Vulture is with its parents in the nest. After being hatched in the incubator of the Green Balkans' Wildlife Rescue Center and raised there for a week, the Griffon Vulture has now been returned to its parents' nest and entrusted to their care.

While with us, the hatchling was eating and growing well, gaining weight and it was time to limit his contact with humans to socialize him with his species. The best way for this to happen is by being raised by its own parents, from whom it will learn its first lessons. And when he can fly, he will be separated from them and go on his way to the wild.
We used the moment to take the second egg laid by the female and place it in the incubator so that the birds could concentrate on caring for the young.
