Once again this year the Green Balkans team fed the Egyptian vultures in the region of Provadia!

This happened in mid-October when single birds were still being observed in the area, before finally leaving our latitudes and heading south.

And to have the strength to fly all those thousands of kilometres, our team provided them with a solid supply of food!

After completing this responsible task, using our presence in the area, we hosted an event of the "Egyptian Vulture New LIFE" project in Provadia, held under the focus of the International Day of Migratory Birds. There we participated in the opening of a fountain reconstructed within the project and a newly built pavilion dedicated to the Egyptian vulture, near the village of Staroselets, Provadia municipality.

At the event, we met with local volunteers who take care of the observation and feeding of the vulture pairs throughout the year. With them, we exchanged valuable experience and knowledge about vultures, their behaviour and ideas for their conservation.

The activity is funded by the Municipality of Prague and the Prague Zoo within the project "Conservation of the Egyptian Vulture in the Balkans".
