The Green Balkans team is a guest at the opening of a STEM classroom in "Ivan Vazov" Secondary School in Stara Zagora
15.09.2022Yesterday, the team of the "For a cleaner nature today, tomorrow and forever" project of NGO "Green Balkans" visited the official opening of an innovative STEM classroom at the "Ivan Vazov" secondary school in Stara Zagora.
As part of our team, the tawny owl Chara from the Rescue Center took part in the special celebration. A model of a stork's nest with waste in it, made according to the project, was one of the highlights of our visit. The stork's nest "winked" at the attendees about the theme of the event, namely the preservation of a cleaner environment.
Together with the guests from various local institutions, such as the municipality, regional administration, RAE Stara Zagora, Trakia University and scientific circles, we talked about pollution, purification, science, the environment, how we, the people, pollute and what this does to nature, the animals and ourselves. As part of the discussion, we discussed how we can and should keep the environment clean.
The hosts from "Ivan Vazov" Secondary School gave us a visual demonstration of some of the applied activities of the students who will study in the new classroom.
