The Common kestrels from the Green Balkans Rescue Center - ready to welcome the winter!

As already mentioned in our previous publications, autumn is a time for the treatment and preparation of the birds that inhabit the Wildlife Centre.

These are the birds that breed in our country, raise their own and other bird's hatchlings, wild orphans, left without parental care. They are birds with permanent disabilities, which is why they live the rest of their lives indoors, in the Rescue Centre's aviaries.

Such are the Common kestrels, who were on the prevention list last week.

We checked the weight of all the birds again, dewormed them internally and externally. We fixed their manicure, cleaned their cages and nests. We are glad that all over 20 birds examined by our veterinarians are in excellent condition, and the set is now ready to meet the winter.

Veterinary students from Trakia University, some of whom are part of the MES 'Student Internships - Phase 2' project, funded by the Operational Program 'Science and Education for Smart Growth', co-financed by the European Social Fund, also actively participated in the review.
