The Black and Bearded vultures at the Rescue Center have taken possession of their newly renovated residences.

A few days ago, the renovation of the aviary at the Rescue Center, home to pairs of Black and Bearded vultures, was completed.

All summer, the birds patiently waited in their temporary quarters for the Bright Future for the Black Vulture project team to complete their work of repairing perches, erecting new nesting platforms, installing video surveillance cameras, building new feeding “tables”, replacing old bathtubs and mud baths with new ones and so, at the beginning of autumn, the vultures took possession of their renewed homes.

Of course, the veterinarians of the Rescue Center did not miss the opportunity to do a preventive examination of the four birds, which included external and internal deworming, beak trimming and pedicure. After making sure everything was in order, the bird families were finally housed.
Naturally, they quickly looked at the innovations and chose the most convenient spots for observation. And in the spring, if everything goes according to plan, we expect the new generation of Bearded, and why not Black vultures hatched in the Center!
