Surgery practice at the Green Balkans Rescue Center

Veterinary students from the Trakia University in Stara Zagora attended an operation to fix the wing (osteosynthesis) of a Long-eared owl.

The manipulation is part of the daily activity of the veterinarians in the treatment of wild patients at the Center. The presence of students is part of our practices in training future doctors in the still poorly represented in our country veterinary medicine of wild animals.

We are happy to share with you that the results of the operation are more than encouraging, and the clinical condition of the owl is satisfactory.
