The Griffon Vulture pair in the Green Balkans’ Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Center has second baby chick.
The vulture chick managed to crack the egg and came to life 54 days after being laid. His first days baby vulture will spend in the incubator, where will be hand-fed by the Center staff for a week and after than brought back to his parents. The pair is now taking care for their first one, only one month older.
When bringing back the newly hatched chick in the nest, the older one will be accommodated in a small adaptation aviary so he can see his parents and start feeding himself independently. The Griffon Vulture pair could focus on taking care of their second baby vulture.
After being raised by their parents, the Griffon Vulture chicks will be released and will join their local colony in wild nature of Bulgaria.
