Apart from the practice at the Rescue Centre and the irreplaceable experience that the students of veterinary medicine gain with us for the treatment of distressed wild animals, they have the opportunity to practice in the field.
These days, the work of the Center's veterinarians took them to the village of Levka. There we conducted prevention and marked hundreds of small ruminants, owned by breeders, partners of Green Balkans in the region.
The young people, whose help was invaluable, took part in all activities - from capture, through fixation, marking, collection of samples for parasitological tests, deworming.
At the same time, the local farmers told them about the structure of the farms, their management, work on projects and programs, and the difficulties they face.
This was another invaluable experience that the students from the Trakia University and the University of Forestry, participants in the 'Student Internships - Phase 2' project of the Ministry of Education and Science, funded by the Operational Program 'Science and Education for Smart Growth', co-financed by the European Social Fund your practice with us!
