As we already mentioned the Protected Area Zlato Pole - this heavenly place, will become home for our long-legged friends – the white storks from the Rescue Centre.

On August 1, after careful preparation, we went forward to the "new world" that was awaiting our future explorers. As always the old power substation, constructed in the middle of the field was hospitable to the stork families of the area. As mentioned before it is not just a place of rest, but its roof also gives shelter from terrestrial predators to the inexperienced young birds.

Students from the Thracian University, interns at the Wildlife Rescue Center, actively participated in the release of the twelve young storks. Thus the total number of storks released in Zlato Pole this year is now 24.

Exciting was the separation of the future ecologists and veterinarians from the Thracian University with the young small hawk, also raised in the Rescue Centre.

And last but not least, Zlato Pole became home to three spur-thighed tortoises, adopted in the Rescue Centre.

We wish them all success, to live freely and lightly - now in the wild.

By the impressions of the experience and with gratitude for the opportunity to get in such close reach to wildlife, the interns of the Rescue Center shared - "We sincerely thank the Rescue Center for the wonderful experience and positive emotions."
