The annual meeting of the Green Balkans Rescue Center team with friends and like-minded people, on the outskirts of the Kremikovski monastery, took place this year as well, which has already become a tradition!
The Green Balkans team ended last week with another initiative under the "For a cleaner nature" project, funded by the "You and Lidl for a Better Life" program, in partnership with the "Workshop for Civic Initiatives" Foundation and the Bulgarian Donor Forum.
At the beginning of August, the Green Balkans team met with children from two villages from the Stara Zagora region. The purpose of the visit was to draw the attention of young people from the local community to the problem of environmental pollution and the damage that people do to nature.
In the busy summer days of the Rescue Center, when the care of our wild patients does not stop from morning to night and our team is busy receiving and treating hundreds of animals, we do not forget the birds in the field!
Our team joined this year’s edition of the ‘Uzana Polyana Fest – green ideas working’, where the geographical centre of our country – Uzana, was once again a centre of ecological ideas and nature conservation causes.
A team from the Green Balkans Rescue Center and representatives of the "Life for Lesser Kestrel" LIFE19 NAT/BG/001017 project visited the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Istanbul, Turkey, which is also responsible for the management of the national parks in the area.
