New Egyptian vulture pair in the Green Balkans Wildlife Rehabilitation and Breeding Centre

21.02.2019
As of today, the team of the 'Egyptian vulture NEW LIFE" project (LIFE16 NAT/BG/000874) are happy to have a new pair of birds in the Centre.

The pair is not actually new - it was formed of birds from the Centre's so-called 'stock' aviary. The project team had been monitoring the behavior of the two birds, and found out they are quite fond of each other. For this reason the birds were transferred today to a new aviary, only for them.

Prior to that, our veterinary physicians examined the birds and treated them profilactically against parasites - with that our work was done.

And from today they are enjoying their new home, and we will be monitoring with interest, via the mounted surveillance cameras, everything happening to the new family.
