Yesterday, a team of Green Balkans’ Wildlife Rescue Centre visited the students from the Agricultural University of Plovdiv.
There, together with the Honey Buzzard Osso and the Owl Luly, we presented our activities and seized the opportunity to acquaint each of the participants with the possibilities to become our volunteer, supporter or green messenger.
This event, part of "People for Nature - Green Society in Action" project, was the first, but certainly not the last visit of our team to this university. The students most actively involved in the presentation were invited to visit the Rescue Center and participate in a training course on rendering first aid to wild animals in distress.
Part of our time we spent with the students was dedicated to the project “Lesser kestrel Recovery” LIFE11 NAT/BG/360, implemented with the support of the LIFE program of the European Union.
The Honey Buzzard Osso and the Owl Luly, illustrating the suffering wildlife, made our presentation even more touching and real.
We express our most sincere gratitude to the managers of the Agricultural University and Ass. Prof. Bileva for their kind assistance.
