National Thracian Folklore festival "Virgin Mary's step" brought together lovers of folklore, nature and crafts
30.08.2021The National Thracian Folklore Festival "Virgin Mary's Step" gathered lovers of folklore, nature and crafts, and we from the Green Balkans and the Wildlife Rescue Center were happy to visit the two-day celebration.
The program of the fair presented folklore ensembles and craft workshops from all over Bulgaria, and our team introduced the guests of the event to the activities of the Wildlife Rescue Center and the Natura 2000 Project in Bulgaria - New Horizons LIFE17 GIE / BG / 371. Children and adults received new knowledge about the biodiversity of Bulgaria, as well as information materials related to the protected species inhabiting Natura 2000.
The Wildlife Rescue Center delighted the audience with an exciting invitation to attend the release of Kestrels and Mallard ducks rescued and raised at the Center's Clinic.
Among the audience at the fair we met our old supporters, and we managed to gain many new supporters.
We thank the organizers of the event for the kind invitation and for keeping the tradition alive!
