Guests of the Celebration for children and dogs festival
07.06.2022At the end of last week, the Green Balkans` team was a guest at the Children and Dog Festival in Stara Zagora.
The event, organized by our friends from "Kuchilishte" Stara Zagora, attracted dozens of children, parents and their four-legged pets.
Apart from our team, the Rescue Center of Green Balkans was also represented by the common buzzard Misho.
The highlight of our visit was the diorama of the stork's nest with a lot of waste in it, built within the project "For cleaner nature today, tomorrow and forever", funded by Lidl Bulgaria. It is part of our educational activities, focusing on the garbage that people generate and how they affect wildlife and nature.
We talked with the guests of the event about unregulated landfills, separate waste collection, why it is important for nature conservation and how each of us can help to live in a cleaner environment.
The activities are implemented under the project “For cleaner nature - today, tomorrow and forever”. This project is implemented thanks to the largest socially responsible initiative of Lidl Bulgaria “You and Lidl for a better life”, in partnership with the Foundation Workshop for Civic Initiatives and the Bulgarian Donors' Forum.
