Green Balkans Rescue Centre volunteers in action

Even on holidays, the Green Balkans Rescue Centre team and our volunteers do not rest. Here is another example of this.

On Saturday, a team of our volunteers rushed to the help of 6 pond turtles in distress. Most likely, the turtles accidentally fell into a small artificial reservoir and were no longer able to escape.

Concerned about them, our volunteers acted on the moment. If they had not helped the turtles, they would have easily become prey or starved to death. After removing the turtles from the cement trap, they set them free by a nearby runlet.

Put into the runlet, the pond turtles immediately set off for it and their freedom.

What a better way to celebrate such a bright holiday like Easter!
