Good news for the treated Imperial Eagle at the Rescue Center

On Wednesday the Imperial Eagle we recieved lasty month with shot wounds, was moved to a flight cage and is feeling much better.

After arriving at the Center , Firecrest (as it is known among the team of Green Balkans) , underwent major surgery on his left leg . The method of external fixation that the veterinarians used to make the bones of the eagle heal, is innovative and was used for the first time in Bulgaria . The concept of it was made entirely by the staff of the Centre. And obviously the direction that was chosen was quite successful, because two days after surgery the Eagle began to stand on the operated leg .

" A little later Firecrest ate unaided, which is irrefutable proof of the success of the treatment applied ," said the Eagles physician Dr. Lazarova .

Three weeks later, the external fixings were removed. And two days after that Firecrest has already moved to its majestic place, perched at the very top of the aviary .

After these results the Rescue Centre is increasingly hopeful about the fate of the young eagle.
I sincerely hope this is our latest story with a happy ending.
