18.09.2010During the campaign, which was held on 14th September, some birds of the species Common kestrel and Common buzzard found their new home. Three of the Common kestrels have been hatched in the Centre and are a generation of a couple of birds that have permanent injuries, which are included in a special generative program. The other 3 Common kestrels and two of the Common buzzards are young. They fell off their nests when they were young and were grown up in the Centre. The third Common buzzard is an adult bird, which passed a coursed of treatment and rehabilitation after it had been found too weak with a fracture of the jaw.
The liberation of the birds was organized in cooperation with Raiffeisenbank as a part of the campaign “Choose in order to Help”. Our guests were donators, volunteers and friends of the Green Balkans, representatives of the local authorities and journalists as well.
We hope the birds will adapt successfully in the new life conditions.
