Feathered foster parents for example!

Do you remember how the Rescue Centre's team rescued the eggs of a wild Common Kestrels pair who had tried to make a nest in a stone career?

The case was notified to RIEW Haskovo, with whose permission the eggs were taken and placed in the incubators of the Green Balkans Rescue Centre.

About 15 days later, the eggs cracked and we moved them to the Common Kestrels pair at the Centre, moving their eggs in an incubator!

Thus, the responsibility for the hatchlings care and feeding fell on the birds. They are long-time inhabitants of the Centre who have undergone treatment here but were left with permanent disabilities. Every year, besides their hatchlings, they also help to raise wild orphans.  Hatchlings raised by birds rather than humans are more likely to become truly wild, and with this, their chances of surviving in nature increase significantly.
