Buria, Hala Vejo and Vihra are now independent young falcons

Nearly three weeks the young ones are completely independent and self-sufficient – they have stopped returning for food in the nest, we see them hunting nicely on their own and they don’t seek their siblings.

Two of the falcons – Vejo and Hala have taken on a faraway journey and are now in Ukraine. Hala has temporarily settled in the delta of the Dunabe river, on the coast of the Black sea, 500 kilometers from Stara Zagora. Vejo on the other hand, who has not stopped his journey to the east is now flying north on the Sea of Azov, 1000 kilometers from Stara Zagora.

Their sisters – Buria and Vihra are now in the Thracian valley – 30 and 60 kilometers from the hack, they previously visited briefly our neighbors – Turkey and Greece. In their short lifespan the young Bulgarian falcons turns out quite the adventurers, conquering not only their country, but Greece, Turkey, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine.

We hope they will have tailwind, good luck and strength to overcome all the hardships in their new wild lives. We will keep an eye on them and share their adventures.
