There are four artificial nesting platforms in the nature that will lure potential future Saker Falcon families.
This was announced by the 'Reintroduction of the Saker Falcon in Bulgaria' project team after, literally, on the eve of the Easter holidays, the last platform was placed.
The activity is part of Green Balkans' activities to restore the Saker Falcons that nest in Bulgaria.
The project team plans to place 20 artificial nests by the end of the project. For this purpose, the trees that were selected are in the area of the adaptation aviaries for release of the young falcons hatched at the Rescue Center within the same project.
We hope that the nests will soon become the home of Saker Falcon families to raise their future generations in there!
The 'Reintroduction of the Saker Falcon in Bulgaria' project is financed by Mohamed Bin Zayed Raptor Conservation Fund and Armeec JSC.
