The incredible destiny of the Bonelli's eagle Ivo continues to amaze and delight our team!
The latest in a series of exciting news about him is that he and his partner are already raising their little ones in nature!
Who is Ivo? He is a Bonelli's eagle, who after 13 years got his second chance and lived in the wild! For 13 years, under the constant care of the Green Balkans Rescue Center's team, Ivo expected the court to decide his fate.
Because in the distant 2010 he, along with another Bonelli's eagle, a victim of illegal trafficking, was confiscated at the Vidin ferry customs.
HERE you can read more about the fate of this beautiful bird.
And now Ivo lives in Mallorca, he has a partner with whom he has recently raised his first generation in nature!
Ivo's story once again shows us that we must fight for what we believe in and not give up. Because miracles only happen when there are people who believe and work hard for it!
Thanks again to our colleagues at GREFA for helping make our dream come true and for Ivo to fly free by including him in an EU-funded LIFE project to support the species!
