Abundant treats await the first Egyptian vultures returning from the south near Provadia!
24.03.2022We are on the threshold of spring! People are waiting for the warm sun, fabulous greenery and colourful trees!
And we, from the Green Balkans, are waiting for our feathered travellers to return from the warm countries. Among them are the Egyptian vultures! These brave travellers will return hungry and exhausted from Africa. Therefore, a few days ago, the team of the Rescue Center left a sufficient amount of food on the feeding site near the village of Partizani in Provadia.
Currently, there are still no Egyptian vultures there and local birds of prey and crows benefit from the abundant food. But, our team monitors the feeding site every day, waiting for the first to return! And when that happens - we promise to share the wonderful news with you!
The activity is funded by the Municipality of Prague and the Prague Zoo within the "Conservation of the Egyptian Vulture in the Balkans" project.
