A team from Green Balkans and local sympathisers from the region of Provadia – in joint efforts for helping the globally endangered Egyptian vulture

Several days ago, a team from Green Balkans aided by local sympathisers carried out the traditional food provision at the supplementary feeding station for Egyptian vulture which is situated near the Provadian village of Partizani. Not only that, but thanks to the assistance and help of supporters we managed to clean up the area around the station in only a few hours. We mowed down the freshly sprouted after the rain grass, repaired the fence around the station, we threw the grass away and we also changed doors` mechanism after the winter season.

And now we can only wait in anticipation of the Egyptian vultures, which should soon return from their migration.
Meanwhile, data from the remote monitoring that the team accomplishes with cameras situated in the area of the feeding station, showed ravens are actively seeking the station as well.

We hope we can soon praise ourselves with the first returned Egyptian vulture.

The activities are funded by the Municipality of Prague and Prague Zoo as part of project “Protection of the Egyptian vulture in the Balkans”.
