A rare vulture was released back into the wild

Jun 28, 2011

The bird was set free near the supplementary feeding site at the village of Pelevun, maintained by Green Balkans. We hope that the presence of accessible food in the area would give the vulture a chance to survive during the first, most critical days after the release.

We would like to remind you that this bird was found earlier this year close to the village of Listets, District of Silistra. After being sent to the Rescue Centre, the vulture was treated and rehabilitated until it was fully recovered and suitable to be returned back into the wild.
