Unfortunately, at the Rescue Centre, bad news goes hand in hand with the good we share with you every day.
So is this post. At the end of the past holidays, we received a signal for a dead big bird near a pole of the transmission network in the region of Sliven.
The Centre team immediately went to the place. Unfortunately, it turned out to be an Imperial Eagle! The bird's corpse was immediately taken to our Centre. On initial examination, it became clear that the death occurred 2-3 days earlier.
The Rescue Centre veterinarians immediately set out to determine the cause of death and did not rule out poisoning. Therefore, toxicological samples were taken and sent to a laboratory.
Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water Stara Zagora was informed about the case.
