ANIMAL IN DISTRESS

ANIMAL IN DISTRESS

If you find a WILD ANIMAL needing help, please do call us!

Meanwhile:

1. Be careful ! Remember that wild animals can be dangerous. Before you take any action make sure you are well protected.
2. Keep away from the sharp claws of raptors and the beak of herons and storks.
3. Place the animal in a quiet and secluded place.
4. As soon as possible, call the Rescue Center on telephones: 042 607741, 0886 570053, 0885 228486, 0896 662726, or the nearest Inspectorate for Environment and Waters (RIEW) on the territory of which you are.
5. If you find a broken limb or bleeding wound, immediately call the vets at the Rescue Centre for detailed instructions and advice.

NEVER GIVE WATER OR FOOD TO THE ANIMAL BEFORE CONSULTATION WITH OUR SPECIALISTS! ANIMALS HAVE SPECIAL NEEDS AND OFTEN THESE ARE SPECIFIC FOR EACH SPECIES. UNFORTUNATELY, NON-SPECIALIST “FIRST AID” OFTEN PROVES FATAL FOR THE ANIMAL. BEFORE YOU TAKE ANY ACTION, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH US OR THE RIEW. THANK YOU!
